Head to West Lake to the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam

In the afternoon, we start by visiting The Museum of Ethnology and then head to Hoan Kiem Lake, the most famous lake in the heart of the Hanoi Capital City, to visit Ngoc Son Temple, built in the 18th century

Explore Dong Xuan Market, the largest indoor market, surrounded by busy, narrow, chaotic and colorful streets with everything imaginable sold on the roadside.

Visit the world-famous Water Puppet Show with a performance of short sketches that take you back to 19th century Vietnam with funny stories about Vietnamese farmers and their lives. Return to your hotel

08.30: Pick up at the hotel and take the 120km from Hanoi to Ninh Binh through the stunning countryside landscape. Short-break en-route

10.30: Arrive Bai Dinh Pagoda Complex, the largest pagoda in Southeast Asia. Built at the foot of the scenic Dinh Mountain, surrounded by amazing, breathtaking views of the exquisite river valley below, dotted with incredible limestone karsts. Trek to the summit to see the 100-ton bronze statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, feast on the gorgeous panoramic views.

Enjoy a delicious lunch in a local Vietnamese restaurant

After lunch, we leave for the Trang An Grottoes, an area of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic limestone karsts rising dramatically out of the rice paddy fields 

Climb into a traditional sampan and be gently rowed down the exquisite river through numerous caves, including, Hang Toi (Dark Cave), Hang Sang (Light Cave), Hang Nau Ruou (Cooking Wine Cave). Every turn bringing new surprises as the mystery of hidden, isolated, and tranquil valleys seemingly from a forgotten time, are revealed. The fauna and flora are luxurious and goats jumping from one cliff to another, a common sight

Take a leisurely bicycle ride along the rural roads alongside the extensive canal network and through small villages with the mesmerizing backdrop of the maze of limestone mountains
