Hanoi - Mai Chau - Ninh Binh - Halong 5 Days 4 Nights

7.30 – 8.00:  Our English speaking guide & driver will come to pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter to start Northern Vietnam Tour 5 days 4 nights journey. On the way to Mai Chau, you will have a chance to admire the lush valleys, rice fields and ancient tea plantations up to the Northwest of Vietnam 

10.00:  It takes us around 4 hours, stops in the middle way for short break.

11.30: Arrive in Mai Chau. This small Mai Chau downtown itself is unappealing, but just outside the patchwork of rice fields rolls out, speckled by tiny Thai Villages where visitors doss down for the night in traditional stilt houses and wake up to a rural soundtrack defined by gurgling irrigation streams and birdsong.

12.15: Have a  local lunch in the family of the White Thai Tribe. You also have a chance to communicate with locals, learn about the ethnic’s unique culture, foods in Northwest along Vietnam.

13.00: Bicycle ride 2 hours with tour guide, watching the peaceful scene of farmers on the field, locals weaving scarves, and surrounding villages. The villagers are mostly White Thai, distantly related to tribes in Thailand, Laos and China. Most no longer wear traditional dress, but the Thai women are masterful weavers producing plenty of traditional-style textiles. Locals do not employ strong-arm sales tactics here: polite bargaining is the norm. 

16.30: Check in your accommodation and what can you do in Mai Chau Town is just walking around, chatting with locals or shopping  with house's byside shops around the village.

18.00: You will enjoy the Thai traditional dinner, with Tradional Thai Dancing Ferformance.

20.30: Finish your first day of Amazing Northern Vietnam Tour 5 days 4 nights. Overnight at the homestay in Mai Chau

06.30:Get up early to enjoy the peaceful moments in the village. Enjoy breakfast at the homestay and be ready to continue to Ninh Binh 

07.30: Take a biking trip from the local homestay to Chieu Cave

8.00: Arrival in Chieu Cave, hike to 1000 steps to Chieu Cave. Then you will go to visit the local market of Mai Chau Town to see lifestyle of ethnic minorities. 

12.00: Come back to the homestay for lunch and check-out, get your own bill of any personal expense

14.00: Get on the car to continue the trip to Ninh Binh

18.00: Arrive at the hotel at Tam Coc. Check in, free time at leisure and your own dinner then spend the night there. Finish the 2nd day of Highlights of Northern Vietnam 5 Days

6.00: Wake up and enjoy the fresh air then have breakfast at your hotel. Free at leisure in your hotel

10.00: Go to Tam Coc Habour to take a sampan boat rowed by a local people about 1.5 hours to visit Tam Coc. Cruising along Ngo Dong River to explore Tam Coc - known as “Ha Long Bay on land”. The boat trip is a nice journey along the river with the peaceful scenery of limestone mountains, 03 wet caves, rice paddy and the sight of some temples along the way.

12.00: Have Vietnamese lunch at the restaurant.

14.00: Take a visit of local family, to see their house architecture and daily life making traditional embroidery. Their traditional custom is still living together with several generations in same house.

14.30: Take a bike to discover villages around on the unique route to see the rice fields, markets, little temples and limestone mountains. On the way, have a glimpse of Thung Nham Bird Park with more than 50.000 birds of 40 species flying to inhabit everyday. Then continue to Bich Dong Pagoda which locates on Truong Yen Range, looks on a valley of fertile rice fields, crossed by the Truong Giang River and leans on Bich Dong Mountain of Ngu Nhac Son Mountains. However, what is waiting for you after the long way is really worth your climbing.

17.00: Cycling back to the hotel for relaxing after fullday of visit  with afternoon tea break.

19.00: Have dinner by your own at local restaurant in here, then going back to hotel. Ends of your 3rd day in The Best of North Vietnam 05 Days
