Cua Van Village is the largest fishing village in Ha Long Bay and has been voted as one of the most beautiful ancient fishing villages in the world

The village, with brightly painted quaint, floating houses, lies in a calm protected bay surrounded by islets and limestone mountains

Learn the traditions, customs and daily life of fishermen, observing them making fishing nets, and catching fish and squid from small boats with overhanging lights

You can explore the area on a bicycle, paddle amongst the floating houses in a kayak, or a traditional sampan bamboo rowing boat.

Explore the amazing Tien Ong Cave on Cai Tai Island, named ‘Grotle du Cieau’ by the French

Unlike most of the caves in Halong Bay, Tien Ong is 50m wide, 14m high, and has a massive 1,000 square meter interior. Inside the inner chamber is a block of stalactites, that looks like an old man with a gentle face, long hair, and beard, resembling a ‘fairy godfather,’ according to locals. Archaeologists have also discovered human bones and artifacts dating back to 10,000 BC – 8,000 BC. The cave is beautifully lit with hidden colored lighting that shows the incredible interior and its amazing stalactites, stalagmites rock formations at their best, like a hauntingly beautiful museum built by Mother Nature over 1,000’s of years

After lunch, we visit Cong Do Island to explore Thien Canh Son Cave, the most beautiful hidden cave in Bai Tu Long Bay. To enter the cave, there is a short climb up about 70 rock stairs, to the entrance, which is hidden in the undergrowth

Inside, Thien Canh Son Cave is comprised of three caverns, each filled with stalactites and stalagmites forming unique structures that locals believe resemble flowers and animals

17.00: Return to Bhaya Legend Cruise Bai Tu Long Bay and take part in our "Masterchef Bai Tu Long Bay Competition" on the sundeck. Try your hand at creating traditional Vietnamese dishes

19:00: A sumptuous set dinner is served in the restaurant with a wide selection of fantastic dishes

Enjoy the rest of the evening, relaxing, chatting at the bar with a cocktail, or try Squid Fishing

06.15: Get up early to watch the magnificent sunrise with a cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea

07.00: A light breakfast is served in the dining room as we cruise out into the spectacular limestone landscape of Bai Tu Long Bay

Stop to visit the picturesque local Vung Vieng Fishing Village, floating in the turquoise blue waters of Bai Tu Long Bay, surrounded by magnificent, immense limestone mountains

Choose to take a kayak and paddle yourself or climb aboard a bamboo rowing boat to explore the area with stunning views of the brightly painted floating village and the incredible, tranquil, emerald-colored sea

Wander around the village with fishing nets hung out to dry, visit one of the local houses and catch a glimpse of the local, simple, relaxed way of life. Chat with the friendly fishermen and learn how to catch fish in the traditional way.
