Transport guidelines from Hanoi to Sapa by Train:

You should be ready with your belongings, passport and train voucher at train station 01 hour before the departure time
Hanoi train station has 2 main gate named Le Duan Gate and Tran Quy Cap Gate. For those who travel to Sapa, it is easier to be presented at Tran Quy Cap Gate
At Hanoi train station (Tran Quy Cap Gate), find the office named after your cabin name to show your voucher to change the real tickets
At the entrance gate, show the ticket to get on the train and take our journey to Sapa at night
Arrive in Lao Cai Station, check out and find a vehicle to purchase for open bus tickets to transfer from Lao Cai Station to Sapa Town (if clients book the tour with us, we will arrange private car or seat in coach to take you to Sapa's hotel)
Duration of transfer from Lao Cai Station to Sapa Town is about 1 hour, depending on mountainous road and sunny or rainy weather for safety.

What should I know before travelling from Hanoi to Sapa by overnight train?

Tickets for soft sleeping bed on Sapa overnight train will be arranged for the 4-berth cabin with air conditioning. So, single travellers will share with three others on one cabin for using single train ticket
Prepare E- tickets or paper tickets, original passport or Identification on hand for getting on the train
VIP cabin is set up from cabin 4 berth - folding 2 upper berths in 01 cabin. VIP cabin must be booked in whole. Single person who travels on VIP cabin must buy both tickets.
Ticket price does not include meals on the train but includes bottled water, tea, coffee or some snacks ...
Restroom is not in cabin and only open when the train runs
Surcharge: 10% additional on Christmas, New Year and Vietnamese Holidays
Take care all your luggage on train because it is pretty hard to find if you missed or lost something on train
