After your breakfast at hotel. 

Should be ready for tour in Myanmar's Capital. Showing respect for Myanmar’s religions and traditions is of utmost importance. Both men and women should dress conservatively; cover your shoulders and wear knee-long skirts or trousers. When entering a pagoda or temple, always take off your shoes.

We will start touring in Yangon by visiting Gaba Aye Pagoda (World Peace Pagoda) with its cave-like design, and the nearby MahaPasana Cave, which traditionally hosts a Buddhist Tipitaka Ceremony (scripture).

Continue to visit The Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, where is placed one of the biggest colossal reclining Buddha Image. Then, going to Sule Pagoda, with its iconic golden chedi (domed edifice), which stands squarely at the center point of the city. Going to Mahabandoola Park 

Free time for your own lunch in the local restaurant 

In the afternoon, we will take a visit of Botataung Pagoda, named after the 1000 military leaders who escorted relics of the Buddha from India over 2000 years ago, and where sacred hair relic of Lord Buddha is enshrined. Then, drive to Nan Thida jetty to witness busy life along the Yangon River. Next, explore the lively and colorful Bogyoke Market (or Scott’s Market). Wander among the hundreds of local vendors selling everything from of gems and jewelry, to cloth, slippers, and local produce.

This evening enjoy a special visit to the massive Shwedagon Pagoda – Its golden stupa is the ‘ Heart ’ of Buddhism in Myanmar, attracting pilgrims worldwide. The Pagoda is believed to be 2,500 years old and the central stupa in surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings and statues. The pagoda is encrusted with nearly 8,000 diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and topaz, and set with a 76-carat diamond at the tip.

This morning fly from Yangon to Bagan, a riverside plain dotted with thousands of 800-year old temples and pagodas, and one of the richest archaeological sites in Asia.

Your tour here begins with a visit to Shwezigon Pagoda. Built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century, this is Myanmar’s most significant religious structure, serving as a prototype for many stupas (temples) that followed.

Check in at your hotel, then your sightseeing tour continues with a visit to Ananda Temple – a whitewashed masterpiece of Mon architecture. This was the first of Bagan’s great temples, and is perhaps most photographed. View the four huge standing Buddha images, well-preserved murals, and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior.

Free time for your own lunch in the local restaurant 

After lunch at a local restaurant, tour Thatbyinnyu Temple. The tallest temple, it measures over 200 feet tall, and dates from 1144. See Htilominlo Temple, the largest temple of Bagan, noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations. Admire the fine brickwork at the Dhamannyangyi Temple, then relax as you watch sunset along Ayeyarwaddy River.

This morning, explore the colorful Nyaung Oo Local Market before driving to Mt. Popa, an extinct volcanic mountain topped with the Popa Taungkalat Shrine. Inside view the statues of the 37 Mahagiri Nats (guardian spirits of legendary ancestors). These spirits were once so important that the early Burmese kings would need to consult the Nats before commencing their reign.

After lunch at Popa Mountain Resort, drive back to Bagan, with some village stops en route to observe the local ways of life. Visit quaint Minanthu Village and toddy palm farms where they make palm sugar, roofing materials, twine, sieves, folk art objects and toys.

This evening enjoy sunset at Mingalarzedi. Built in the 13th century it is the last of the large pagodas, and represents the pinnacle of Bamar pagoda architecture.

Comeback and overnight in Bagan

This morning, take a short flight to Heho, in the cool green highlands. Upon arrival, we drive to Nyaung Shwe and Inle Lake, a natural beauty 2,900 feet above sea level. With its calm waters dotted with floating vegetation and fishing canoes, and backdrop of soaring scenic hills, the lake is a photographer’s dream.

Check in at hotel, Free at leisure. Then, guide will pick up from your hotel for lunch 

After lunch, we will take a boat excursion to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda – a holy religious site and an amazing floating pagoda.

Then, keep visiting the beautiful floating gardens, lush with vegetables and flowers, and view the pile dwellings along the shore. Here villages are built on stilts over the lake, and boats are the sole means of transport. Meet the Inthars, “leg rowers” who row standing up with one leg wrapped around an oar, and learn about their culture and environment. Visit some traditional workshops, including a silversmith, blacksmith, and a boat builder.

This evening visit Nge Phe Chaung (Jumping cat monastery), then view sunset from a boat ride on the lake

Take a morning boat excursion through a long channel to charming Shwe Inndaing (Indein Village), located at the western end of Inle Lake. Walk up the stairway that leads to the hidden In Dein Temple Complex. This site has an 800-year-old pagoda, and hundreds of small Shan-Style Stupas, overgrown by moss and foliage.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before arriving back at Heho for the flight to Yangon.

On arrival at Yangon, check in and you have time to relax at to your hotel. Overnight in Yangon

  • Beside the essential items such as long sleeve clothes, hat, trekking shoes, sunscreen, mosquito repelent, you can carry some extra things as camera, flash light, water etc
  • The period from April to October will good to pack a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen (~SPF30) and from November to March, more warm clothing is advised.
  • After using services of rowing boat trip, local tuktuk (cyclo); bellman or waiter always expect some tippings for their hard work besides of their fixed salary.
