6 - MUST-VISIT PLACES IN HA GIANG 

CITY OF HA GIANG

Boundary Marker No. 0 is located on Nguyen Trai Street in Ha Giang City, directly across from the 29/8 Square. Despite the fact that it is only a topographical marker, it has inevitably become a lure for many Ha Giang visitors. They only came here to take one memorable photograph.

QUAN BA DISTRIC HIGHLIGHTS:

1 - Quyet Tien market (Quyet Tien commune, Quan Ba Dist): This market is 10 kilometers from Tam Son town - Quan Ba District and 50 kilometers from Ha Giang city, located between Quan Ba central and Ha Giang city. This mountain market, which is only open on Saturday mornings and ends at noon, attracts people of all ages who come to purchase and sell household things. This is one of Quan Ba District's largest marketplaces, containing a range of traditional cultural activities of mountainous ethnic groups.

Twins Mountain and Quan Ba Heaven Gate 
The Quan Ba heaven gate is located in Quan Ba District, Ha Giang Province, approximately 46 kilometers north of Ha Giang. This is the main gateway to the Dong Van geological plateau. The Quan Ba heaven gate reaches a height of 1500 meters above sea level. From here, you can also obtain a bird's-eye view of Tam Son and its surroundings, or feel as if you're touching the clouds over your head. 
Before the August Revolution, this was known as the "Autonomous Region of the Meo People", which included the districts of Quan Ba, Meo Vac, Yen Minh, and Dong Van. 
Twins Mountain, which resembles a young woman's breast, can be photographed nicely from here. 
In the spring, plum flowers, peach flowers, and rapeseed flowers will fill the twisting mountain route to the heaven gate with a brilliant color, full of vitality.

HIGHLIGHTS IN YEN MINH 1

- Yen Minh pine forest: is most beautiful in the summer, when the sun shines down on the roads and the pine trees stretch for dozens of kilometers, climbing up to the sky, overflowing into the valley, or growing on the winding roads... Taking a short break here will give you a cool and pleasant feeling, and you will want to stay a little longer to photograph the completely green grass and rooftops behind the mountain ranges. After a long journey, it provides a peaceful, pleasant, and restful setting

2 - Mau Due Market: This market is located in the heart of the commune of Mau Due, on the road that connects Yen Minh and Meo Vac. The market is open on every Wednesdays and Sundays. This is one of the most common trading fair commune-level marketplaces in Yen Minh district due to its convenient location for transportation, communication, and proximity to hill trible from villages.

3 -Du Gia Market: Du Gia Market is located in the heart of Yen Minh town, 65 kilometers south of Hanoi, on the road connecting Mau Due (Yen Minh) and Minh Son (Bac Me). The Market is held every Friday morning in the commune's cultural center on a large level landscape. The market remains authentic, with direct transactions and colorful traditional culture; the market frequently engages in art-cultural events.

HIGHLIGHTS IN DONG VAN 1

1-  Dong Van stone plateau  - In 2010, UNESCO designated the Dong Van stone plateau as a global geological park. The most fascinating aspect of the rocky plateau is a dark gray stone, which is interspersed on the slope, alongside wildflowers, terraced farms, or ethnic people stilt dwellings... to create an exceedingly remarkable feature for Dong Van plateau.

2-Dong Van Ancient Town: located in a valley surrounded by hills and mountains. Dong Van was filled with a two-tone tint in the early mornings: the dazzling yellow of the sun and the gray of the old dwellings. When visiting the Dong Van antique town, let's take your time, relax at an ancient coffee shop right on the roadside, rest, and enjoy a gently filtered coffee with a leisurely pace of life.

3-Dong Van fair (Dong Van town): The Dong Van fair is only organized on Sundays. On market day, the quiet and peaceful historic town became crowded with the colorful clothing of Dao, Mong, Tay, Nung, Giay, Lo Lo people... concentrated for purchasing
Someone must get up at 3 a.m., bring all of the things for sale, exchange them, and cross the mountains to reach the market. There is a cultural convergence here that you will not find anywhere else. When visiting Dong Van market, do not miss the opportunity to eat the most famous ethnic dish, "Thang Co," which not everyone is brave enough to try.

4 - Pho Bang Village: If you are traveling from Sung La to Dong Van, Pho Bang village should be on the right hand side, approximately 4 kilometers from the main road, and is also an important village on your adventure to Vietnam's Northern Mountains.

5. Landmark 428: This is the country's farthest north point and the closest point to Vietnam's northern border. The flying distance from the Nho Que River to the monument is approximately 500 meters. The Nho Que River flows between Vietnam and China, defining their shared border.

6 - The Vuong Family Palace: The most powerful house in Ha Giang has been located in the valley of Sa Phin for over a century. The Vuong house was begun in 1019 and finished ten years later for up to 150,000 dong (equivalent to 150 billion Vietnam dong). The lovely palace-shaped Vuong (King) is flanked by rows of trees and has withstood the ups and downs of history, bringing a great historical story with it. The turtle-shaped hill, which was home to rare turtles and powerful rows of towering trees, rose up to a house carved in the blue sky with "Vuong (King)" horns.

MEO VAC 1 HIGHLIGHTS

- Ma Pi Leng Pass: Overlooking the spectacular terrain with the most imposing ridge, the steep climbs are unequaled, and the high slopes ascend into the clouds, Ma Pi Leng is always deserving of being one of Vietnam's four great passes. We can pull over for a little distance to watch the sunset across the Nho Que River, where the emerald jade water flows like a lovely silk strip.

2 - Khau Vai love market (Khau Vai commune, Meo Vac Dist), 24 kilometers from the heart of Meo Vac. This is a distinct cultural feature of the Ha Giang people, and of Vietnamese in general. The love market is held only once a year, on March 27th in the lunar calendar, in a broad and level valley.
The Khau Vai love market began as a dating site for those who had failed to love each other and a traditional Mong custom, but other ethnic groups quickly joined in.
Every year, boys and girls assemble at a "market" with no buyers or sellers to connect and express their ex-love.
Khau Vai has turned into a dating market, with people of all ages looking for love, from young to married. The brilliant colors of the Mong, Dao, Giay, Tay, and Nung... create a lively bazaar.

3 - Lo Lo Chai ethnic minority (Meo Vac, Ha Giang): Traditional Lo Lo Chai clothes are still used in daily life and at festivals, especially by women. The Lo Lo Chai people have numerous wonderful songs and traditional dances for festivals such as the Spring Festival (held from the 25th of December previous year to the full moon in January of the following year in Lunar); the Corn Picking Festival in New Year; and the Rain Festival in March.

HIGHLIGHTS IN HOANG SU PHI 1

- Phin Ho: When one thinks of Phin Ho village, the first thing that comes to mind is the famed Shan Tuyet tea, which dates back hundreds of years. But, you will also have the opportunity to learn about the unique culture of the Dzao minority ethnic group. Many traditional ceremonies have been passed down through the years at Phin Ho village, which is home to the Dzao ethnic tribe. In which the fire dance festival, a cultural activity passed down from generation to generation, was preserved. The Phin Ho fire-jump event takes place every January. This is a ritual that confirms the Dzao men's adulthood, with many distinctive customs.

2 - Hoang Su Phi tiered farms: No one knows how long the Hoang Su Phi minority people have been changing the mountains into stunning terraced fields. We only know that for many centuries, people have used terraced fields to replace slash-and-burn agriculture. For the rest of their lives, people here make a living from terraced fields. And Hoang Su Phi is always a great choice for seeing the terraced fields.

ADDITIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

1- Thanh Thuy border gate, located 20 kilometers northwest of Ha Giang city in Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen District. As the province's only international border crossing, Thanh Thuy border gate has become a lively trading centre, attracting many tourists and traders.

2 - Nam Dan Ancient Stone Park, located in the Nam Dan commune of Xin Man Dist. Symbols and images have been engraved into old stones for thousands of years. This is an old rock reserve zone with distinct cultural, historical, religious, and scientific values. This site has great tourism potential and is a popular tourist destination.

 3 - Happy Road - Ha Giang's Fourth Wonder: 50 Years of Blood and Flowers

This 200-kilometer-long road was built by tens of thousands of Vietnamese teenage volunteers from 16 ethnic groups over the period of six years (1959-1965), with over two million working days. Ma Pi Leng Pass was called a "death zone," with many young people in the suicide team hanging their bodies from the cliffs, bordering on centimeters to work in 11 months. Ma Pi Leng, along with O Quy Ho Pass, Khau Phau Pass, and Pha Din Pass, is recognized as "one of the four most important passes" in Vietnam's northern mountains. The Happy Road is a connected bridge that brings hope to the communities not only through all of the effort, but also via the blood and life of a young volunteer.
